Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution, is seeking a program assistant for the Civil Liberties and Public Policy (CLPP) Program, a national project that equips and inspires new generations of leaders through campus-based education, real-world advocacy practice, and the skills to build a stronger, more diverse movement for reproductive freedom and social change.

The program assistant will provide administrative and program support to the assistant directors of CLPP. Responsibilities  include support for the annual conference, the summer internship program, national young activist network meetings, the Summer Leadership Institute, and other events as needed.

This is a grant funded position with continuation pending future funding.

An associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required as is a minimum of one year job related experience. Candidates should possess excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills; have advanced word processing and data entry skills using Microsoft programs and Google documents; have experience using spreadsheets and databases; and be able to produce effective and compelling written materials. The program assistant must be attentive to detail and able to manage multiple and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with a diverse range of staff, students, faculty, speakers, alums, and vendors. A commitment to CLPP’s mission is essential. This position requires occasional evenings and weekends.
