Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for an office assistant to support the Financial Committee (FundCom) of the Hampshire Student Union (HSU).

The financial committee office assistant manages the administration of FundCom’s internet-based resources, and preparations for the fall and spring student group funding cycles. The office assistant will purchase goods and services for student groups through the College’s P-card system and/or purchase order database; assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, forms and systems in cooperation with the associate dean, assistant director and the HSU; and respond to inquiries from students and staff concerning funding policies, guidelines, and application processes.

Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of three years job-related experience. Previous fiscal management experience and budget development is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates must possess outstanding organizational skills; proficiency in computer programs; an attention to detail; problem-solving skills; and ability to manage multiple priorities. This position requires a high level of customer service. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.  

This is a 10 1/2-month, 35 hr. /wk. benefited position with an employment cycle of August 1st through June 15th. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits program.
