Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for a part time program assistant for the Entrepreneurship program and the Design, Innovation & Social Change program.

Under the general direction of the entrepreneurship coordinator/faculty associate (ECFA), the program assistant oversees the daily operations of the Entrepreneurship program (EP) and will support some of the Design, Innovation & Social Change program (DISC) through a variety of administrative and coordinating duties. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning of entrepreneurship events and speakers while also providing administrative support for the Seed Fund for Innovation that promotes student entrepreneurship. The program assistant also works closely with the ECFA in planning, budget, and policy development as requested.  

This position is funded for at least 2.5 years with continuation pending future funding.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year job-related experience is required. Candidate must have knowledge of office management, word-processing and basic book-keeping.  Computer proficiency including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, calendar, email, and relevant business enterprise software are required. Skills in interpersonal relations are necessary; supervisory skills are preferred. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

This is a 10-month, 25-hour per week benefited position, which holds an employment cycle of August 15th through June 15th. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefit package.
