Hampshire College, an independent, innovative, liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for an instructional technologist for the office of information technology.

The instructional technologist manages and supports technology used for teaching and learning at Hampshire College. The technologist provides training in a wide range of technology, and manages projects as needed to implement or upgrade instructional technology services. The instructional technologist is responsible for maintaining technical accessibility of course content and course-work for students registered with the accessibility services office. 

An advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years job-related experience required. Ideal candidate will have experience supporting faculty using instructional technology such as learning management tools and systems, as well as experience providing technical and/or instructional support in an educational setting. Knowledge of and experience with instructional design, technology integration techniques, assistive technology software and technology access strategies, alt-format document production and processing, and multi-media production is also required.  A strong technical background in a wide variety of digital and audio-visual technologies is a must. Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

This 12-month, 35 hour/week benefited position holds a grade 4 in the Hampshire College staff salary grading schedule. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits program.
