Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for an administrative coordinator for the office of campus safety and security.

Reporting to the director of campus safety and security, the administrative coordinator provides administrative support to the director and the department. Duties include performing, completing and/or coordinating all administrative work including but not limited to typing, mailing, copying, filing, and routine department level bookkeeping. The administrative coordinator responds to inquiries and exercises discretion in obtaining and providing factual/confidential information. In addition to general office administration, the administrative coordinator will be responsible for parking management, risk management notification and reporting, tracking pool vehicles, and assisting with Clery Act Compliance.

High school diploma with a concentration in business skills is required; college degree is preferred. A minimum of three years job related office experience is also required, preferably in an educational security setting. Qualified candidate must be proficient in personal computer applications including word processing, electronic mail, electronic calendar, database, spreadsheet, as well as creating and maintaining websites. Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities. Successful candidate will have the ability to work  collaboratively across the campuses and provide customer service; exercise discretion when obtaining and providing factual/confidential information; and be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgement. Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential. This position requires a valid Massachusetts drivers license and must successfully meet the requirements of Hampshire College driver credentialing policy.
