Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for an advancement program coordinator in the office of college advancement.

The advancement program coordinator (coordinator) oversees the day-to-day execution of programs, events, and customer service for the advancement office. Under the direction of the associate director of alumni & family relations, the coordinator will oversee logistics for all fundraising, alumni, family, and all-community events on and off campus, including being a key liaison with vendors, hosts, volunteers, and campus offices. The advancement program coordinator will be a key team member who works across the advancement office to support Annual Fund challenge drives, major gift fundraising initiatives, and engagement of alums and parents. They will be a primary point of contact with the office by phone or in person, and acts to facilitate a range of office functions, including updating web pages, drafting, editing, and sending email communications, throughout the work week to make things run optimally.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required with a minimum of four years’ experience. The successful program coordinator will be a flexible and energetic team member, able to coordinate and administer various projects in support of the College’s fundraising goals. They should possess excellent customer service and communication skills, including ability to write and edit correspondence for a variety of audiences. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required. Proficiency with key technology tools is needed – including Microsoft Office, phone systems, and web-based collaboration platforms such as Google Drive. Experience working with fundraising databases, CRM tools for email communication, and website editing software is preferred. Ability to learn new programs and processes, problem-solving skills, and a high level of follow through are essential. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
