Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for a communications and marketing coordinator in the office of college advancement.

Reporting to the director of communications and marketing, the coordinator will support production and implementation of Hampshire’s communications and marketing efforts to accomplish key institutional priorities.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, creating effective multimedia content to engage key constituents, including prospective students and families, alumni and donors, and general external audiences, implemented across a variety of channels. The coordinator will support robust online spaces managed by the College, including the main public website and social media channels through content creation and distribution, monitoring, responding, and editing. They will be responsible for designing materials for print and online purposes, developing and maintaining a photography and videography asset management system; and taking photos and videos of students, alums, and campus life.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years job-related experience is required. Successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to effectively represent the College to external audiences using strong verbal and written communication skills. Additional requirements include superior proofreading and copy editing skills with strong attention to detail, maintaining high accuracy and productivity; exceptional organizational skills, with ability to coordinate multiple projects requiring close collaboration with colleagues; and solid interpersonal skills: tact, good judgment, confidentiality, a sense of humor, creative problem solving, willingness to learn, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Knowledge working in Drupal or other web content management systems, social media and email platforms, as well as Adobe Creative Suite also required. The coordinator should have experience with creating photography and videography, and an understanding of graphic design fundamentals. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
