Location: Hampshire College Campus in Amherst, MA
Reports to: Business Services Manager
Anticipated Start Date: November 1, 2021

The business office provides the Hampshire community with best-practice financial support, guidance, and consultation, and is committed to delivering consistently accurate fiscal information for use in strategic planning and institutional growth. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The accounts payable coordinator is a full time 12-month staff position that directly reports to the business services manager. The position has the responsibility to review and disburse both external and internal reimbursements/payments in accordance with College policies and procedures in addition to applicable Federal government guidelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Attention to detail and strong math skills.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Some knowledge of computer software programs (including Word, Excel and email) required.
- Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
A minimum of one year experience in an accounts payable or office environment.
Alternatives to formal education and paid work experience may be considered as equivalent qualifications to include military service/training, volunteering, activism, and other non-traditional programs and experiences related to the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two year degree in finance or administration preferred.
