Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for a receptionist in the office of admissions.

The admissions receptionist is responsible for enthusiastically greeting visitors to the College and assisting them with their needs. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly, and able to provide a compelling overview of the unique features of Hampshire College making them an integral part of the recruitment team. Daily duties include answering general calls to the admissions office and directing them as appropriate, responding to general email inquiries, arranging and confirming campus visit requests from prospective students and parents, and maintaining the public spaces including reception, lobby and information session areas. The receptionist is also responsible for providing various administrative support functions within the office including data entry, record keeping and printing letters.

An associate degree with two years of job-related experience is required. The qualified candidate must be comfortable with Microsoft Office suite and familiar with Technolutions Slate. The receptionist should possess excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, and ability to project a professional experience to visitors and contacts. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential. Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
