Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for a faculty associate and coordinator of entrepreneurship in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts. This is a three year position which begins immediately.

The faculty associate and coordinator of entrepreneurship will be the chief coordinator of the Entrepreneurship program, and feature prominently in Hampshire's continuing experiment to redesign the "why" and "how" of learning in a rapidly changing world. This key role will develop programming to empower young leaders and equip them with the skills and determination to turn ideas into action and solve tomorrow's problems.

Hampshire invites visionary and pragmatic candidates to apply for this exciting opportunity. The faculty associate and coordinator of entrepreneurship will work closely with faculty and students, engaging a diverse set of stakeholders on and off campus, and co-create the bridge between entrepreneurship and enlightenment. As chief coordinator of the program, the faculty associate and coordinator of entrepreneurship will be charged with founding an education program start-up with the resources and support of a premier institution that has a proven record of experimentation and innovation.

Specifically, the faculty associate and coordinator of entrepreneurship will be responsible for: (1) the successful leadership and development of a self-sustaining, interdisciplinary entrepreneurship program; (2) serving as a thought leader in strengthening the curricular tie to sustainability, creativity, and applied ethics; (3) assistance in recruiting and collaborating with faculty in achieving the program's educational goals; (4) student engagement, mentoring and oversight of student ventures; (5) marketing and public relations;(6) fundraising, (7) teaching one course a year and serving on student's divisional exams.

A master’s degree is required; PhD preferred, and a minimum of five years entrepreneurial experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in, and vision for, conceptualizing and implementing a program; and evidence of a strong work ethic, a high level of energy, and the initiative and ability to manage complex tasks with minimal direction. Knowledge and appreciation of Hampshire's unique pedagogy and educational mission is preferred.
