Hampshire College is accepting applications for a temporary career counselor for our Career Options Resource Center (CORC).

The career counselor provides career counseling and coaching services to Hampshire students and alumni; develops and delivers a range of career workshops; writes content for the Center’s web pages and career publications; assists with outreach to students and faculty; and contributes to a variety of administrative duties in support of the Career Options Resource Center.

A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in counseling, higher education, business, management, marketing, communications, counseling, or a related field is preferred. Two years of related professional experience working with students, new graduates and experienced alumni to help them develop their careeer paths and navigate transitions is also required. Qualified candidate should  be skilled at facilitating individual as well as group career development. This position requires excellent writing and editing skills; ability to communicate clearly via writing, phone, and in person; organization skills; and an attention to detail. The career counselor must be a skilled multi-tasker; be able to establish priorities; and possess a high level of initiative and resourcefulness. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
