Baker's Assistant

Hampshire College is accepting applications for a baker’s assistant to join the team in our Prescott Bakery.

The baker’s assistant will be responsible for mixing and baking ingredients to produce breads, rolls, cookies, pastries, sandwiches, salads or other baked goods for the Kern Kafe, as well as other catering needs to be determined.

The baker’s assistant must have experience in food production, be able to work early morning hours for breakfast bake, and work special events as needed. This position will require frequent standing, and use of hands and arms; regularly required to handle food and hot beverages; work with sharp objects; ability to lift up to 15lbs; and to frequently bend and twist from the waist. The baker’s assistant must be able to work independently, be well-organized and detail-oriented, and maintain a positive morale and professional attitude. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
