Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for a residential operations coordinator in the student life division.

Under the general supervision of the associate director of residence life and housing, the residential operations coordinator administers campus-wide residential operations to ensure a well-maintained, safe, healthy, and secure living area for Hampshire College students. The coordinator creates and implements efficient housing processes that enhance students' experiences to succeed, as well as explores and implements means to use technology to improve the student residential experience, such as departmental website and social media. The  residential operations coordinator holds primary responsibility for organization of large-scale campus-wide housing events such as new student and continuing student openings, winter shutdown, mid-year moves, early arrival and late-stay approvals, and campus closings.

A high school diploma or equivalent with two years of job-related experience is required. Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience with content management systems preferred.  A commitment to continually developing cultural competency is essential. Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and be available occasional evening and weekend hours.

This full-time, 11-month, benefited position holds a grade 3 in the Hampshire College staff salary grading schedule, and has an employment cycle of July 1st through May 31st.
