The environmental sustainability (ES) alumni fellow will help implement a wide range of activities as stipulated in a grant award from the Roddenberry Foundation, including supporting faculty courses related to sustainability, identifying and hosting guest speakers, facilitating student travel, and coordinating a Solv-a-thon related to sustainability. Under the direction of the program director, the ES alumni fellow will be responsible for coordinating guest speaker series, supporting faculty course development and implementation, overseeing student travel funding, contributing to program innovation and assessment, as well as serving as grant administrator. The ES alumni fellow will demonstrate clear commitment to social justice as it relates to environmental sustainability. For efficient, self-starters interested in sustainability issues, the ES alumni fellow will have the opportunity to develop, organize and co-host a speaker event beyond those already planned, dependent upon funding availability. This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours.

A demonstrated commitment to inclusive and anti-oppressive environmental sustainability practices as well as commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential. The candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
