Hampshire College, an independent, innovative, liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for an executive chef to oversee all culinary functions for dining services. 

The executive chef (EC) will manage and lead a team of associates while overseeing all safety and sanitation as it pertains to the dining area. They will work directly with the department director and manager to create innovative concepts, catered events and theme meals. The EC will be directly involved with budget management as it pertains to Dining Services which will include ordering, receiving-as needed- and scheduling both students and staff.

A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of job-related experience are required. Serv-Safe certification is preferred. Successful candidate must have a strong passion and motivation to create great food; a solid working knowledge of kitchen practices, protocols, and procedures; and ability to communicate extremely well with a diverse team and our guests. Candidate must possess the patience to teach and lead a team of various abilities in such a way as to produce high quality, nutritious meals. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
