Schedule: 35 Hours a week

Pay Range/ Status: $42,000 - $45,000 /Exempt

Location: Hampshire College Campus in Amherst, MA

Reports to: Director of Admissions Data and Technology

Anticipated Start Date: December 12, 2022

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The assistant director of admissions - CRM specialist is responsible for supporting the operations of the admissions office by maintaining and improving the functionality of admissions’ CRM software, Slate by Technolutions. This position quickly and accurately imports data into Slate from a variety of sources. The assistant director researches, tests, implements and maintains data systems in order to provide effective, accurate, and timely services to the admissions team, our prospective students, and the broader Hampshire College community. This position also works with the director of admissions data and technology to analyze changing operational needs, research evolving best practices, and implement new solutions or improvements to existing systems. This position ensures reliability, accessibility, and integrity of departmental data and systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience supportingCRM or SIS database software systems, preferably Slate and/or Datatel Colleague
  • Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to write clear and concise process documentation. Ability to provide training and support on these processes to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience with technology project implementation and management, or a willingness to learn these skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff and faculty at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates skill in understanding of cultural differences.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of Slate Forms, Rules, Events, Scheduler, Deliver, Workflows, Portals, Queries, Configurable Joins, and data integrations.
  • An understanding of college enrollment operations.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent
  • Minimum one-year job related experience

Alternatives to formal education and paid work experience may be considered as equivalent qualifications to include military service/training, volunteering, activism, and other non-traditional programs and experiences related to the position.
