Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for a visit experience manager in the office of admissions.
The visit experience manager will oversee all administrative, managerial, and performance-based aspects of the campus visit and group visit programs for prospective students and their families. The manager will be responsible for all daily campus visits including information sessions, tours and interviews; Open House events, Accepted Student events and overnight visits. The manager also will be expected to proactively propose new ideas to improve and enhance the visitor experience. This position will oversee the Student Intern program by providing creative planning, professional development, ongoing training, and performance evaluation.
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of job-related experience is required.The qualified candidate will have creativity; possess a high level of interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong computer and telephone skills. Applicants should be results-oriented, energetic individuals who can work in a fast paced environment; effective decision making skills and customer service experience is a must. Qualified applicants should be flexible and adaptable to changing environments, have effective public speaking and presentation skills, a belief in the value of a liberal arts education and passion for Hampshire's unique educational philosophy with ability to knowledgeably communicate that uniqueness. The visit experience manager must be superbly organized, be task and project oriented, be able to work independently, and manage multiple tasks frequently without advance warning. Good writing skills are a must and supervisory experience is necessary. Experience in Technolutions Slate or a similar CRM is highly preferred. The visit experience manager must be comfortable navigating conversations and have a commitment to being part of the larger Hampshire community. This position requires a valid driver’s license and must successfully meet the requirements of Hampshire College’s driver credentialing policy. A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds is essential. Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
